This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how subscription cancellations and refund requests work for Watchfox paid plans.
1. Merchant of Record
Watchfox uses Paddle as Merchant of Record for paid subscriptions.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for Watchfox orders. Paddle handles payment processing, taxes, invoices, receipts, and buyer-facing payment operations.
Watchfox does not store full payment card numbers.
2. Refund window
Watchfox paid subscriptions purchased through Paddle have a 14 calendar day refund window from the transaction date.
A refund request must be submitted within 14 calendar days of the transaction date.
Watchfox does not add additional refund qualifiers or exceptions beyond Paddle's Refund Policy.
Refunds are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. If a refund is issued, access to the refunded paid plan will end and the related workspace may move to a lower plan or Free plan.
3. How to request a refund
To request a refund, use one of these options:
- use the receipt, invoice, or subscription management link in your Paddle payment email
- use Paddle buyer support
- email [email protected] and we will help route the request through Paddle
Please include:
- account email
- workspace name, if available
- Paddle invoice, order, or transaction ID, if available
- subscription plan
- transaction date
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your paid subscription so it does not renew at the end of the current billing period.
Expected cancellation behavior:
- cancellation stops future renewals
- your paid plan remains active until the end of the current paid billing period
- after the paid period ends, your workspace may move to a lower plan or Free plan
- paid-only features may become restricted after cancellation becomes effective
- resources above the lower plan limits may be blocked from new activity or auto-paused according to Watchfox plan enforcement rules
Where available, cancellation may be done from:
- Watchfox app → Billing
- Paddle customer portal / billing email links
- billing support by contacting [email protected]
Cancellation does not change the 14 calendar day refund request window described above.
5. Downgrades
If you downgrade to a lower plan, the change may be scheduled for the end of the current billing period.
When the downgrade becomes effective:
- the lower plan limits apply
- new create/update actions may be blocked if usage exceeds the new plan
- excess monitors or status pages may be paused/disabled rather than deleted
- historical data remains subject to the normal retention policy
6. Failed payments
If payment fails or subscription entitlement cannot be confirmed:
- Watchfox may continue access for a limited grace period where configured
- paid features may become restricted if payment is not resolved
- over-limit resources may be paused/disabled rather than deleted
- billing state may depend on Paddle webhook and entitlement processing
For payment problems, contact [email protected].
7. Taxes and invoices
Paddle handles tax calculation, collection, invoices, receipts, and payment processing as Merchant of Record.
For invoice or tax questions, contact [email protected] or use Paddle buyer support links from your payment, receipt, or invoice emails.
