These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Watchfox.
Watchfox is a B2B website monitoring service for agencies, freelancers, small SaaS teams, e-commerce teams, and privacy-conscious professional users.

By creating an account, using Watchfox, starting a trial, using a free plan, or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to these Terms.
If you use Watchfox on behalf of a company, agency, client, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Service description
Watchfox provides website-oriented monitoring and operational visibility features, including some or all of:
- uptime monitoring
- keyword/content monitoring
- TLS certificate monitoring
- heartbeat monitoring
- sitemap monitoring
- domain expiry monitoring
- incident detection and recovery tracking
- email and integration-based alerts
- public or private status pages
- reports and exports
- workspace, project, and team management
- public API and API keys on eligible plans
Watchfox is not a full observability platform, infrastructure monitoring suite, APM/logging/tracing platform, or incident management platform.
3. Accounts and workspaces
You are responsible for:
- keeping your account secure
- using a valid email address
- controlling access to your workspace
- assigning appropriate user roles
- removing users who should no longer have access
- maintaining the accuracy of monitoring targets and configuration
Actions taken by users in your workspace may be treated as actions authorized by your organization.
4. Customer responsibilities
You agree that you will only monitor websites, endpoints, domains, heartbeat URLs, pages, or systems where you have the legal right or permission to do so.
You must not use Watchfox to:
- attack, scan, overload, or disrupt third-party systems
- perform unauthorized security testing
- monitor targets in a way that violates applicable law or third-party terms
- send spam or abusive notifications
- store secrets, passwords, private keys, or sensitive personal data in monitor labels, URLs, status pages, reports, or support messages
- attempt to bypass billing, plan limits, authorization checks, rate limits, or security controls
- reverse engineer, copy, or misuse the service except where allowed by law
- interfere with Watchfox infrastructure or other customers
Watchfox may suspend or restrict access where needed to protect the service, customers, third parties, or legal compliance.
5. Monitoring results and alerts
Watchfox attempts to detect and report issues based on your configuration, selected monitor type, check cadence, automatic probe coverage, alert settings, and plan limits.
Monitoring results may be affected by:
- target website behavior
- network routing
- DNS changes
- third-party provider availability
- rate limits
- configured timeout values
- plan limits
- maintenance windows
- paused or archived projects
- unknown/source-limited states for TLS, domain, or sitemap checks
Watchfox does not guarantee that every outage, content change, domain/TLS issue, or incident will be detected or alerted.
Unless a separate written SLA is agreed, Watchfox does not provide a contractual uptime SLA, incident response SLA, or guaranteed alert delivery time.
6. Reports and status pages
Reports, uptime percentages, incident summaries, downtime values, status pages, and exports are generated from available Watchfox data and configuration.
You are responsible for reviewing report/status page output before relying on it externally or sharing it with clients.
Status pages may expose information publicly if configured as public. Do not publish confidential, personal, or security-sensitive data in public status pages.
7. Plans, limits, and entitlements
Watchfox plans may limit or gate features such as:
- number of monitors
- monitoring interval
- probe coverage and historical probe-group check evidence
- status pages
- reports
- branding and white-label features
- API access
- custom domains
- team/workspace features
Plan limits are enforced server-side. UI display is informational and may not be the only enforcement mechanism.
If your subscription changes, expires, fails, is cancelled, or is downgraded, Watchfox may restrict paid features or pause resources that exceed your active entitlement. Watchfox should not delete your monitoring history solely because of a downgrade, unless deletion is requested or otherwise permitted under these Terms.
8. Billing and Merchant of Record
Paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for Watchfox orders. Paddle provides billing support for payment processing, invoices, tax handling, and payment-related buyer operations.
Watchfox may store minimal billing metadata needed to operate subscription entitlements, but Watchfox does not store full payment card numbers.
Paid plans may renew automatically unless cancelled according to the cancellation flow available in Watchfox, Paddle, or customer billing communications.

9. Free plans and trials
Watchfox may offer a free plan, trial, or promotional access.
Free or trial access may be changed, limited, suspended, or discontinued. Free plans are provided with low support expectation and without any uptime or availability guarantee.
The Free plan is intended for evaluation and light usage. Free monitoring does not expire automatically for active light use, but inactive Free workspaces, unrenewed annual Free monitoring, and long-broken Free monitoring targets may be paused automatically as fair-use protection.
Free fair-use pauses do not delete monitor configuration solely because of inactivity, annual renewal status, or a long-broken target. Eligible paused Free monitoring can be resumed from the Watchfox app, subject to the active Free plan limits and these Terms.
10. Customer data
Customer data is handled according to the Watchfox Privacy Policy.
Where Watchfox processes personal data on your behalf as processor, the Watchfox Data Processing Addendum applies.
You retain ownership of your customer data. Watchfox may process customer data only as needed to provide, secure, support, improve, and administer the service, and as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy, DPA, or applicable law.
11. Confidentiality
Each party may receive non-public information from the other party.
The receiving party must use reasonable care to protect confidential information and may only use it for purposes related to the service, support, security, billing, legal compliance, or the business relationship.
This does not restrict information that is public, already known, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law.
12. Security
Watchfox uses practical security controls designed for a small, serverless SaaS product, including authentication, authorization, internal API protection, rate limiting, secret masking, and operational monitoring.
You are responsible for:
- securing your own account
- limiting workspace access
- protecting API keys
- rotating compromised credentials
- configuring notification channels safely
- ensuring your monitored targets can be lawfully monitored

13. Support
Support is available through the in-app Contact support flow or by email.

- [email protected] — vulnerabilities and security issues
- [email protected] — abuse, spam, misuse, ToS violations
Internal acknowledgement targets may be published separately, but they are not contractual resolution SLAs unless expressly agreed in writing.
14. Acceptable use enforcement
Watchfox may investigate and restrict activity that appears abusive, harmful, illegal, or risky.
Potential actions include:
- rate limiting
- blocking endpoints
- disabling a monitor or notification channel
- suspending an account or workspace
- removing abusive content
- contacting the customer
- reporting unlawful activity where required
15. Service changes
Watchfox may improve, modify, add, or remove features over time.
Watchfox will try to avoid materially breaking core paid functionality without notice, but early-stage SaaS products may evolve quickly.
16. Disclaimers
Watchfox is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Watchfox does not warrant that:
- the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- every incident will be detected
- every alert will be delivered
- monitoring results will be perfectly accurate
- third-party integrations will always work
- reports will be suitable for every legal, contractual, or client-facing purpose
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Watchfox will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of anticipated savings, business interruption, loss or corruption of data, loss of customers, loss of contracts, or loss arising from a customer’s reliance on monitoring results, alerts, status pages, reports, or integrations.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Watchfox’s total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service, whether in contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, will not exceed the total amount paid by the Customer to Watchfox for the Service in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
The exclusions and limitations in this section apply even if Watchfox has been advised of the possibility of such damages and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law, including liability for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence, liability for harm to a person’s natural rights, or liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory law.
18. Termination
You may stop using Watchfox or cancel your subscription according to the available cancellation process.
Watchfox may suspend or terminate access if:
- you breach these Terms
- payment fails or subscription entitlement ends
- your use creates security, legal, or operational risk
- you misuse the service
- continued provision would be unlawful
After termination, access to some data may be unavailable. Retention and deletion are handled according to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
19. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
The competent courts of the Czech Republic will have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
20. Changes to these Terms
Watchfox may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date indicates the latest revision.
Material changes should be communicated through the app, website, email, or another reasonable channel where appropriate.
Continued use of Watchfox after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
