Plans, limits, and Free fair-use

How limits are applied#

Plan enforcement is server-side. Workspace usage includes resources across active, non-archived projects. The app may explain a limit, but hiding or changing UI controls does not bypass it.

Plans primarily scale through monitor volume and interval, reporting and branding, status-page capability, API/export capability, smart verification coverage, and operational limits that protect plan economics.

Monitor limit reached#

When the workspace monitor limit is reached:

• Delete an unnecessary monitor, archive an inactive project when appropriate, or upgrade.
• Do not move duplicate monitors between projects just to obscure workspace usage.
• Review whether every monitor answers a distinct operational question.

Status-page limit reached#

Status-page limits also apply across active projects in the workspace. Delete an unused page, archive an inactive project when appropriate, or upgrade.

Check intervals#

Free normally uses 5-minute web checks. Paid plans can allow faster checks according to the active entitlement. TLS, Domain, and Sitemap use fixed lower cadences that are not one-minute uptime probes.

Smart outage verification#

Normal Uptime and Keyword monitoring uses one primary scheduled probe group. Eligible Agency and Pro failures may use additional verification coverage automatically. Internal labels do not guarantee a customer-visible geographic origin.

Automation email fair-use#

Repeat alert reminders, status subscriber updates, and scheduled report delivery share plan-aware non-critical automation-email budgets. Auth, billing, security, privacy, and mandatory service messages are outside that shared budget.

Quota suppression is expected fair-use behavior when a limit is exhausted. It must not be described as a provider bounce or make an alert channel unhealthy.

Free fair-use autopause#

Free monitoring may pause after prolonged inactivity, an annual Free renewal requirement, or a continuously broken target. Autopause stops workload; it does not delete the monitor configuration or retained history.

Use Renew Free monitoring for eligible inactivity or annual-renewal pauses. Fix a long-broken target before resuming the individual monitor.

Downgrade consequences#

A lower plan can reduce monitor counts, status pages, check interval capability, reports, branding, custom domains, scheduled delivery, API access, or smart verification. Review current usage before scheduling a downgrade.
